Twinkles and Sparkles It's Ornament Swap Time

It is year number 2 for Sally Russick of Studio Sublime to host a Christmas Ornament Blog Hop.

This year my ornament traveled to Pennsylvania the home of Christine Altmiller of
One Kiss Creations  I was so excited  to see Christine as my partner because she has encouraged me along the way to keep playing with the  "Flying Missiles".  I knew right away what ornament I needed to make.   I was fortunate that she was on the ball and sent mine early so I was able to enjoy both of our efforts together!  I do love this empress pattern and had fun making it in silver and gold.

Christine's creation                            and                              Kim's creation

I have had so much fun with this pattern!

Christine's beautiful creation  now hanging in my window

The day Christine's package arrived was the last day of our yearly 2 day show.  After weeks of long hours preparing I was a very tired and not feeling so good lady.   I sat down and opened this box of beauty and cried.  She had created such beauty...not just the ornament but the box of "missiles".   I can't wait to dig into this box of beauty..... She gave me her precious stone pebbles too!!   I really need a cold snowy day just to sit and quietly bead.....for now I have it sitting by my chair where I can gaze at all the colors and dream about what shall I make....

Thank you
Christine for the sparkle in my window ....
Ms Sally for bringing the opportunity of a little fun during this busy season.......

Hop on......

  1. Love your ornaments (the one you gave and the one you received!). What a great sparkly box you get to gaze at - just be sure Mr. Jerry doesn't decide to play there! Think of the fun he would have! Hope you're feeling better.

  2. Both ornaments are just lovely. I've always admired those who could make such beautiful things with those tiny beads. And how wonderful that you received an extra gift of beads to do whatever you please with. I hope you are feeling better very soon so you can enjoy the holidays.

Kim, I so glad you were able to take the time to participate again, the ornaments that I received from you last year are adding a little sparkle to our tree! I have to admit I never put them away from last year! Have a wonderful Christmas!

  15. Let me start by saying: Jealous. Both ornaments are divine. Hard to pick a favorite! I adore Christine's beaded snowflakes - I was her partner last year, and keep her ornament up all winter! The tassel dangle ornament in icy gold - stunning! WoW!

  16. Fantastic ornaments... both the one you sent and the one you received. I like how you call seed beads "flying missiles". I'm just getting into them as well and many have rocketed out of my hands and into the carpet. Anyway, I enjoyed the way the ornament you made seemed to be like a Deco chandelier laden with crystals and full of light. Great job!

  17. The ornament you made is really fabulous and it sounds like Christine treasures it. Just as I'm sure you are treasuring the one she made for you. And what a blessing she was to have sent those beads to you. It sounds like you needed that pick-me-up. She must be an angel-in-disguise.
